Hi Scott & Laura, I am a little late in posting but wanted to tell you what a wonderful time we had in Oct. The waterwheel was sooo cozy. The hiking and driving was beautiful. Leadville and Aspen was great. The best part was when we decided to stay one more night and there was like 5" snow the next morning. You even said that it was unusual. Our family used to vacation at Mt. Elbert Lodge years ago and hope to return sometime soon. I just wanted to let you know that I mentioned you in my blog today and linked to your blog. I posted about a painting that I did of the lodge on a twig table top.

I copied and sent this picture to my husband. We stayed at the beaver lodge cabin during the last week in July. We hoped to see a bear maybe walking by, but would never have imagined a bear to do that. That is a great picture. We absolutely loved our stay, and plan on returning.
