Happenings in Twin Lakes

Twin Lakes is looking like summer as usual with a couple of noticeable changes this year.  Things that are the same:  The General Store is open and ready to help everyone with last minute needs, fishing licenses, gifts, stamps and all that a good old fashion General Store should have.  The local artist's coop, The Shooting Star Gallery, is open for the summer with their eclectic collection of beautiful and fun creations and the visitor's center at the Red Rooster will again be manned by local volunteers.
Things different:  We have no restaurant in town now.  The Nordic/Black Wolf is unoccupied at this moment and the Windspirit Restaurant has opted to turn their restaurant into more lodging.  The General Store is working with the health department to get licensed to have a soup and sandwich spot in the store, one of the chefs formerly with the Windspirit will do the cooking.  He and June are doing everything they can to make it so travelers will be able to find refreshments in Twin Lakes.  Visitors can order catered goodies from Gourmet foods by Kate, Twin Lakes CO.
